Members need to register for events so that we have a head count for equipment and supplies necessary for each event. Most of the events are free to all members. Non-members will pay $15.00 a non-member fee for each event they register for.
Welcome to Fall!! September will be filled with the smells and colors of fall. We start off in the studio making Gourd apple spice candles. Next we head to Cold Springs Orchard for a tour. Members will learn how cider is made and go apple picking. Our hike for this month is at Lithia Springs in South Hadley. The members will learn how to cross a stream, gather pine cones and identify mushrooms. In the garden, the members will identify garden bugs and see discover garden science.
We will be celebrating friendships in the month of August. Activities include a Friendship Hike where our members can bring a friend for free. At the Friendship Bracelet workshop members will use recycled t-shirts to create a bracelet for their BFF. We will additionally make a trip out to the McLaughlin Fish Hatchery to check out how local ponds and rivers are stocked and the members will get to feed the fish. In the garden we will be learning how we make more plants from plants we already have and members will learn about good and bad bugs in the garden.
