Members need to register for events so that we have a head count for equipment and supplies necessary for each event. Most of the events are free to all members. Non-members will pay $15.00 a non-member fee for each event they register for.
July is Plastic Free Month. We will design a reusable shopping bag. We will visit a working farm and learn abut the farming process and get to see baby calves. We will be going on a Wild Goose Chase hike using the GooseChase app. In the garden we will set up our worm composter and learn about worms and then we will do a bug scavenger hunt to learn about Pests, Predators and Pollinators.
In June we will create a Father's Day Soap on a Rope craft. We will go on a Turtle Hike at Bray Lake. We will discover the food science of dehydration and make fruit roll ups. We will enjoy strawberry shortcake. We will create a Summer Solstice Pressed Flower lantern by learning the flower pressing process.
