3rd Rock Kids bridges the gap between technology and nature, empowering youth to explore and appreciate the natural world around them. Our program leverages the love of technology and transforms it into a scientific research tool, immersing kids in outdoor environments.

Technology-Infused Nature Exploration: We equip youth with smartphones, apps, trail microscopes and more. They capture photos, identify species, and document their discoveries in personalized nature journals.
At 3rd Rock Kids, we explore the link between microorganisms in the soil and those in our bodies. Kids learn how healthy naturally grown food nourishes both ecosystems, promoting personal well-being and environmental awareness. Our youth will explore food sciences such as dehydration, fermentation, freezing and canning. Our program will provide nutritional science educational activities including recipes for healthy meal planning and cooking.
